SAJAN POOVAYYA

This Senior Advocate of Supreme Court is from down south. He is a graduate of the 1996 batch of National Law School of India Unviersity, Bangaluru, Karnataka. Later he completed his LL.M from LSE sometime in the year 2000. Earlier he was a managing partner in his own Law Firm but he left it when he was appointed as a Senior Advocate in 2012. He has also been a former Additional Advocate General for Karnataka and also served as Chairman of Karnataka State Council and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). He is son of a lawyer Sh. M.K. Poovayya and during his early life before joining the law as a career he wanted to become a doctor, but his father motivated him to join the noble profession of law. In his early life of starting practice he joined the chamber of Mr. S. Vijay Shankar, Senior Advocate and Ex. AG of Karnataka. Then, when Mr. Poovayya shifted his base to New Delhi he joined the chamber of Mr. V.R. Reddy, Senior Advocate and former Additional Solicitor General of India.

Today, ,Mr. Sajan Poovayya has a good practice in Supreme Court. Sometimes he also goes to Bengaluru to argue a case if required, he has an office in Jungpura, New Delhi and is a known lawyer in Supreme Court.
